Hi,
My name is Deidre.
No, I’m not really the crazy cat lady but I do really love cats.
For 5 years I ran a cat rescue from my home. I adopted out 3000 cats/kittens. It is a journey I will never forget. How quickly the time flew by.
My primary focus now is animal activism; I get involved wherever I can. For the past 3 years my organization has been trying to ban declawing in Canada. For those who do not know, declawing is an unnecessary cosmetic procedure, which consists of ten separate amputations from the bone. Declawing is not a simple manicure, it’s animal cruelty. Declawing is banned in 30 countries and I will get it banned in Canada.
I love all animals. Being able to pet sit is a dream to me. Running a cat rescue did not allow me the time or space to open my home to animals, now I can.
I’m absolutely in love the diversity of animals I am able to babysit. My doors are open to cats and small critters.
My home is smoke free, child free, quiet, clean, and lots of space to run around.
I have 3 rules for the animals I board
1. Stay off the stove
2.
Don’t go in the
fridge
3.
Your cat may not
shower with me
Rule # 3 is a bit of a joke. It’s strange; some cats really love water & refuse to get out of the shower even with the water running.
Let your loved one take a vacation while you do.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Pssss
I have a special needs cats Baby who has Cerebella hypoplasia causes jerky movements, tremors and generally uncoordinated motion. So basically Baby walks like a drunk and uses pee pads instead of a litter box and eats her food like a bird with a pecking motion
Baby loves to sleep on the couch for about 12 hours a day. Baby is vaccinated, spayed and negative for FIV/FELV. Don't worry her condition is not contagious.
